What you need above all else is God’s salvation, and it is found alone in the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Scriptures refer to Him as \u003ci\u003e“the Man Christ Jesus”\u003c\/i\u003e who is the \u003ci\u003e“one Mediator between God and men”\u003c\/i\u003e (1 Timothy 2:5).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003eIn the following 5 verses from God’s Word I would like to present “This Man” to you.\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Through This Man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eActs 13:38\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe Bible tells us \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“There is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” \u003c\/i\u003e(Romans 3:22,23). It matters not who you are, where you are from, what religion you practice or how respectably you live, in the sight of a holy and righteous God you are a sinner and as such you are unfit for heaven (Revelation 21:27). Yet what wondrous love! \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”\u003c\/i\u003e (1 Timothy 1:15). \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”\u003c\/i\u003e (John 3:16). Dear reader, you can know your sins are forgiven through trusting this Man as your Saviour. As a result, you can be prepared to meet God.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“This Man hath done nothing amiss” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLuke 23:41\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eScripture is clear concerning the perfect sinlessness of the Lord Jesus. We are told \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“[He] did no sin”\u003c\/i\u003e (1 Peter 2:22), He \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“knew no sin”\u003c\/i\u003e (2 Corinthians 5:21), and \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“in Him is no sin”\u003c\/i\u003e (1 John 3:5). These words were even spoken by a thief, who was crucified on a cross beside Christ’s! Why was the Lord Jesus on that cross if He had done not one thing wrong? Friend, He was there for your sins, and so we read …\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“This Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHebrews 10:12\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAt Calvary, the sinless Christ \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“bare our sins in His own body on the tree”\u003c\/i\u003e (1 Peter 2:24). On the cross Christ died for our sins … died for the ungodly … died for us (1 Corinthians 15:3, Romans 5:6,8). He \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“gave Himself a ransom for all”\u003c\/i\u003e (1 Timothy 2:6). We are told so plainly in 1 Peter 3:18 that \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.”\u003c\/i\u003e Isaiah 53:5 says, \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.”\u003c\/i\u003e The Lord Jesus was buried, and rose again the third day and then as our verse told us, He \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“sat down”\u003c\/i\u003e simply because His work on the cross was complete, as He said Himself—\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“It is finished”\u003c\/i\u003e (John 19:30).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“This Man receiveth sinners” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLuke 15:2\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eFriend, is the sacrifice of the Son of God in your place at Calvary enough for you? Could you trust the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, safe in the knowledge that \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanseth us from all sin”\u003c\/i\u003e (1 John 1:7)? The religious hated Christ when He was here on earth and sought to mock Him as the Man who receives sinners, but in their mockery they only brought out the lovely truth about the Lord Jesus—He is a waiting, willing, and able Saviour for any who will come. He said, \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out”\u003c\/i\u003e (John 6:37). Again His invitation went forth: \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”\u003c\/i\u003e (Matthew 11:28). The Scriptures say, \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him”\u003c\/i\u003e (John 3:36). \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”\u003c\/i\u003e (Acts 16:31).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Wilt thou go with This Man?” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eGenesis 24:58\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDear reader, I wish to come down to the most important question you shall ever answer—wilt thou go with This Man? Or as it was put by Pilate, \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?”\u003c\/i\u003e (Matthew 27:22). It is the most important question because it has the most important consequences; what you do with Christ will determine where you will spend the great never-ending eternity. Where are you bound—heaven or hell? The Lord Jesus said, \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“I go My way, and ye shall seek Me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come”\u003c\/i\u003e (John 8:21).
